Roman Reigns and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson are two polarizing figures in the professional wrestling/sports entertainment world. The Rock last faced John Cena at WrestleMania 29, but that hasn’t stopped wrestling fans from wanting this match between the Samoan cousins to happen.

Roman Reigns vs The Rock – Will it happen?
The topic for this week’s edition of Grilling JR Podcast was Umaga, and when you’re talking about him, the conversation is definitely going to extend to his huge Samoan family.
JR said, “That Samoan dynasty thing is not a gimmick, it’s real, and I met Afa and Sika back in the Mid-South days. They were really interesting guys, great heel team.”
He also spoke about their work ethic and how they made the babyfaces look good.

“Somewhere in the early 80s, I got connected with that family and I’ve been connected ever since, including recruiting and signing The Rock and things like that. I got lucky there, obviously, right place, right time, but you knew that DNA meant something. All those guys you mentioned were players. And of course, The Rock set the mark.”
Jim Ross also spoke on the potential match between Roman Reigns and Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson.

“I know people are coveting a Rock vs Roman Reigns match somewhere down the road. I don’t know if it will ever happen, you know there’s a chance, it’s all up to The Rock.” said JR. “It isn’t up to anybody else; it’s up to him. His schedule is so crazy; he can’t afford to get hurt. He’s gonna lose millions of dollars if he can’t work. Not that he’s gonna go broke, but nonetheless, he’s special.”

Like JR said, it’s all up to the ‘Great One.’ There is no one who can make this dream match happen, not even Vince McMahon. The one who can is The Rock himself. If at all it happens, prepare to see one of the biggest showdowns in WWE history.
