During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, John Cena shared how he got cast in F9 as Vin Diesel’s brother, Jacob. He revealed he met Vin Diesel in Los Angeles and hung out with him, talking about his future plans and what not.

The two talked about everything but about working together in Fast and Furious. Although a few days later, Cena got a pleasant surprise. He revealed he got a call from the production and they asked him to be in F9. However, he still didn’t know what his role in the film would be.

Cena further added that it was Vin Diesel himself who called him and revealed his role to him, which Cena compares to debuting in the main event of WrestleMania.

He said, “He [Vin Diesel] called me later on and said actually what I was doing. Which is, being the brother of Dom Toretto. If you’re a fan of the universe, that’s like your first match being in the main event of WrestleMania. So I was really really excited about that.”
