The WWE has been busy since the completion of the $21.4 billion merger in September. Now, together with the UFC, the WWE plies its trade under the TKO banner. Just days after Endeavor, the guardian company, acquired 51% of WWE’s shares, the promotion fired 20 superstars and other management staff.
Now, it looks like the company is going to make a few more changes, some of which were presented during the October 13 episode of SmackDown, as Triple H unveiled SmackDown’s new go-to person.

36-year-old drops a six-word message after assuming new position
It was reported that Nick Aldis had joined the WWE as a producer in August. Just two months later, he has now been promoted to a new position by none other than Triple H. The WWE’s head of creative introduced the 36-year-old Aldis as the new on-screen General Manager of the SmackDown brand.

Hunter was responding to a query from Dominik Mysterio during the season premiere of the blue brand when he asked The Judgment Day member to reach out to the new GM of the blue brand.
Just hours after his coronation, the two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion dropped a text on X. “There’s a new sheriff in town,” part of his tweet read.

Apart from that, in his first act as the GM, Aldis drafted Kevin Owens to SmackDown. This completed the trade for Jey Uso, who had quit the Friday show to be with RAW later.
But if Aldis was hired to the position, who did he replace?
Adam Pearce reacts to SmackDown axing
For the last four years, Adam Pearce was the General Manager of SmackDown. Now, he’ll exclusively take care of RAW. As the news became official, Pearce took to X to post a series of tweets while stating his reaction.
He said that with “bittersweet pride” he handed over the control to Aldis. Pearce also hoped that the incumbent will perform the job with diligence and even welcomed a competition between the two brands- RAW and SmackDown.
