Nearly two months ago, The Rock made a grand return to SmackDown and shocked the WWE universe. Returning to the blue brand after nearly four years, Johnson proved why he holds a huge fanbase.

Well, the 51-year-old recently sat in on the Tonight Show with the renowned anchor Jimmy Fallon. There, he revealed how big his recent return to the WWE was as he shed light on the enthusiasm of the crowd inside that arena. What does he say? Let’s find out.

The fans’ love for Dwayne Johnson is surely not hidden. As revealed by ‘The Great One’ in The Tonight Show, the audience went bonkers when their hero returned and his entrance music began to play inside the arena. They were both thrilled and in awe. He revealed, “The crazy thing about that I was there for College Game Day and I found out the night before that WWE SmackDown is going to be in Denver which is right up the road.”

He further explained by saying, “So I called my buddies at WWE, Nick Khan and I said ‘hey man I heard SmackDown is here can you confirm that? He said it is. I said good well The Rock is coming to SmackDown’, and I went out there it was really an incredible thing.”

But he didn’t end there. His excitement was overwhelming as he continued to express the admiration the WWE audience had for him. He continued, “I have been really lucky over the years to entertain in a lot of different ways but that kind of connection with the WWE audience. By the way that kind of connection is just like this tonight with the live audience is nothing like it. So my music hits, ‘If You Smell’ and I went out there and they had no idea. You guys know how hard it is to keep a secret. It doesn’t exist. This was a full on secret the people went nuts. 13000 people sounding like a 130000 people and it was just incredible. So WWE audience is my family and I love them and it was incredible.”

His remarks make it quite evident how much the fans like Dwayne Johnson. The Rock’s incredible return to SmackDown also sent the social media into a frenzy.

Social media erupted because of Johnson

The social media landscape was irrevocably altered by Dwayne Johnson’s one-time WWE return. With his presence on social media, ‘The Great One’ didn’t know that records would be broken. Truly loving the 51-year-old, though, were the fans on X in particular.

After a four-year hiatus, the icon returned, and the video of his arrival garnered over 100 million views on social media. The official WWE X account shows that the video has received over 103 million views on social media.
