In this movie Mathayus is taking the revenge with Memnon because he kills he two brothers Rama and Jesup. He Matahyus, in the end kills Memnon, sending him off the edge of the roof and into a set of flames where he dies.

With the battle over, the remnants of Memnon’s army bow before Mathayus, who by their law is proclaimed the Scorpion King. Mathayus then decides that they will make their own destiny and then rest story is in The Mummy Returns.
