How Vince McMahon Reacted to Zelina Vega Winning the Inaugural Queens Crown Tournament

Vince McMahon congratulated Queen Zelina after her match against Doudrop at Crown Jewel. The Queen of the ring and King of the ring tournament kicked off 2 weeks before Crown Jewel. For the first time, WWE introduced the Queen of the Ring tournament for the women’s division. Female superstars from both the Raw and SmackDown brands participated in the qualifiers.

Zelina made her way to the finals defeating Toni Storm and Carmella. Zelina faced Doudrop for the Queen of the Ring tournament finals at Crown Jewel. Both women fought admirably well but in the end, Zelina picked up the victory pinning Doudrop.

On the recent Monday Night Raw, Zelina was crowned as Queen Zelina. Zelina’s performance was amazing, and she showed how good she was by defeating Doudrop.

Zelina stunned WWE fans by winning the Queen of the Ring Tournament. She impressed everyone with her performance, including the Chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon.

In the past, Zelina partnered with Andrade as his manager. She helped Andrade with a lot of matches in NXT. She also accompanied him alongside Angel Garza in the main roster. After Andrade’s release from WWE in 2020, Zelina was off-screen. In July 2021, she made her return to SmackDown.

Zelina has the potential to compete in big matches. She proved it by winning the Queen of the Ring Tournament. Following this victory, Vince McMahon walked towards her and praised her. In an interview, she said, “Vince walked up to me after the match in the back and said, ‘You walked in here queen, and now it’s official,’ ” “I almost lost it.”

Zelina opened up about facing Doudrop at Crown Jewel for the final. They last encountered in 2019 at NXT Worlds Collide. She said, “I couldn’t wait to wrestle her again, and it’s amazing that I got to do it in Saudi Arabia in the finals of the Queen’s Crown tournament. This was a first-time-ever tournament, and we wanted to make history. To me, that’s incredibly special.”
