“Despite admittedly rigging his own “Wheel of Challengers” to determine his opponent, Johnny Wrestling was unable to end his championship curse as Ruff pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the history of the black-and-gold brand. After pleading his case, Gargano gets his chance to regain the championship gold. Will he become a three-time champion, or does Ruff simply have Gargano’s number?”

Leon Ruff had the night of his life on WWE NXT

Last week on NXT, Johnny Gargano overcame his fear of wheels against Damian Priest at Halloween Havoc. He created his own “Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal” to for his first title defense. The man who ended up facing Gargano for the title was Leon Ruff. Unfortunately, the third time wasn’t a charm for Johnny Wrestling.

He lost his focus during his championship match thanks to some interference from Damien Priest. Ruff caught him by surprise and delivered the crucifix pin to pull off the upset.
