‘Huge Mountains of Men’- Randy Orton Recollects His Memories of Visiting the WWE Locker Room for the First Time

Most wrestling stars who have made their way to the epitome of the industry will always remember their time of hardship during their process to make it big. Some of them will already have the privilege of having a member in their family who is already in the industry. The same goes for Randy Orton, the son of the famous Bob Orton, and it looked like everything was in place for him to be a WWE Superstar. But the 14 times WWE Champion never wanted to be a wrestler and be like his dad.

When Randy Orton visited the WWE locker-room at a young age

Randy Orton, who has earned his way to be called a WWE Legend, never thought he could be a WWE Superstar in the first place. In a recent interview with Kurt Angle on his YouTube channel, The Kurt Angle Show The Kurt Angle Show, Randy revealed his thoughts that he would never make it to the WWE. This had occurred to him at a young age when he visited the WWE locker room with his dad, Bob Orton.

After visiting the locker room, Randy felt like he would never be able to fight with these behemoths of men present in the roaster. Randy added- “I was in the locker room at a very young age and saw this huge mountains of Men.. you know joking and laughing just behemoth it was and I am back there as a little kid. From that day forward seeing all these men, I never once considered myself to be able to go toe-to-toe with them or even be on their level in any shape of form.”

Wanting to be a herpetologist

Randy Orton revealed that from a young age, he always wanted to be a herpetologist. Orton was fascinated with animals, especially with reptiles. He also revealed having a big old Burmese Python Snake as his pet when he was in high school on the show. Being a huge nerd of snakes, lizards and other reptiles, Randy thought he would end up doing something related to animals rather than work as a wrestler.

Randy Orton, also known as the Viper in WWE, revealed that one who came up with that tag name had no clue about his fascination with snakes. Failing to remember who exactly gave him the name, Randy said that the heel persona that he portrayed always resembled the way he carried around in the ring to a Viper. Thus ending up with one of the most charismatic personas in the WWE as the Viper.
