

The early 90s brought a bit of downfall in Hulkamania around the wrestling universe. Hulk Hogan was the main highlight of the steroid trial that made it difficult for WWE to put him on the card as they did.
Also, The Hulkster took a small hiatus from wrestling at the time before debuting in WCW. It seems Hogan might have given why he took a break in a rare interview.

A resurfaced YouTube documentary video covers Hogan’s life. In the same video, he recalled the time the target of the media over the steroid trial on Vince McMahon.
Hogan said, “They (the media) picked the biggest name in wrestling, Hulk Hogan to make an example of Hulk Hogan used steroids, Hulk Hogan did this Hulk Hogan did that.”
As the documentary states, after the court relieved Mr. McMahon from all the charges, the media made Hogan a target. The Immortal One was the biggest name in professional wrestling at the time.

Wrestling legend Bobby “The Brain” Heenan also adds his take in this video. He said, “For some of the people that really looked at him and loved him, they probably were hurt. In those days it was, ‘Oh my god what does that mean? Some people were turned off by it.”
A piece of news like this surely made several Hogan fans question him. This might also lose him a few fans due to being constantly portrayed on the steroid trial in news.
Hulk Hogan said Vince McMahon didn’t sell him steroids
As per The Hulkster, everyone used steroids in professional wrestling alongwith other sports like baseball and football. He claims it was easy to get steroids as the doctors prescribed it because those were legal. Moreover, many thought Hogan might put McMahon behind the bars.
He said, “I was the star witness and I was the one that the whole world thought was gonna put the nail in the coffin and send Vince away to jail for 15 years. And they asked me if Vince McMahon had ever sold me steroids. I said, No.”

The WWE Hall of Famer claimed Mr.McMahon never sold steroids to anyone. Moreover, he shared that the former CEO of WWE isn’t the person that people say he is.

There, The Hulkster said he thought steroids were legal because he had a prescription for it. He was taking steroids to heal his injuries and keep wrestling.
