Stephanie McMahon gives her views over Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair

A few years ago, in 2019, Stephanie McMahon appeared on the Barstool Sports podcast The Corp. The host asked McMahon her views on Hulk Hogan vs Ric Flair. Moreover, he asked the Queens of Queens what makes a great superstar. She answered like a true businesswoman while comparing the legends.

The current chairperson of WWE said, “That’s a great question. I think Hulk Hogan is one of the most easily recognized icons in the world. He is everything because also his size, his stature, that Fu Manchu, the long blond hair, he is so iconic, red and yellow, the t-shirt. He just really is one of the first ever, I think, truly global icons.”

She added, “Ric Flair is arguably one of the greatest superstars ever in the history of our business, from a pure talent standpoint I think that even Hulk Hogan would say Ric Flair has me beat.”

The Billionaire Princess further added how the business actually is about storytelling. She shed a light on how The Hulkster has a great ability for storytelling with a few sets of moves.

However, she added, The Nature Boy was much bigger from a talent perspective. Stephanie McMahon stated Flair transcends our business in many ways than Hulk does.

How many times did Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair face each other in WWE?

Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair were two of wrestling’s biggest stars in the 80s & 90s of WWE and WCW. In total, the two had 12 major matches together across both companies in their entire career, out of which they wrestled in three televised WWE matches.

Their first match was in WWE in Madison Square Garden in November 1991. The second match was also in the same arena a month later, in December 1991. The fans and critics praised both the matches. Moreover, everyone expected the feud to culminate at WrestleMania that year, but it didn’t happen.
