The WWE Hall of Famer was in utter shock since he realized being a part of a historical moment. In one episode of his podcast, the legend got aware of being one of the opponents in the last matches of Hulk Hogan.

The revelation took the veteran back to those days when The Hulkster was no less than a face of the wrestling industry. As soon as Kurt Angle comprehends the given information by his co-host, Paul Bromwell, he expresses his gratitude towards it.

We very well know about the legendary Mr. America and his contributions to wrestling. His retirement was one saddening moment for the entire industry, especially for WWE. As the promotion played a huge part in the popularity, he gathered throughout all these years.

While we are talking about the worldwide wrestling star of the 1980s, we cannot forget one gem we had that soon turned into an Olympic gold medalist. And as we discovered recently, he was also among some last competitors of Hogan during the final matches of his career. 

Angle reacted to a shocking fact related to Hulk Hogan

During a conversation with his co-host on The Kurt Angle Show, the 13-time world champion reacted with all surprise. It happened after he was enlightened with the knowledge about him being part of memorable days in wrestling.

He said, “I didn’t know that until now. Right now! I honestly didn’t! I’m actually really shocked, but you’re absolutely right! That’s the last time he wrestled. 

After this realization, he expressed his feelings on the same. As he considered it a privilege to share the squared circle with the Sterling Golden.

“And to be a part of that, you know, Hogan was the biggest name in the history of wrestling. He transformed wrestling. So, to be a part of that, I’m really proud of that,” Angle added.

Last matches of the Hulkster

In 2012, a series of house shows were under the TNA Maximum IMPACT Tour. That was also the last time when Hogan stepped in the ring. There were two six-man tag team matches, where Hulk, James Storm, and Sting defeated Bully Ray and Bobby Roode, and Kurt Angle.

Unknowingly, the former wrestler became a part of Hulkmania’s last-ever matches. And now when Angle learned about this fact after 10 or more years, he recalled the match.
