Sasha Banks and Bayley suffered a huge loss at WWE Payback 2020. It was probably more humiliating for ‘The Boss’ since she walked away from the ring with no titles at all.

On the other hand, Bayley may have lost the Women’s Tag Team Title, but still retains the SmackDown Women’s Championship title. The loss of the strap will have quite a negative impact on the relationship that Banks and Bayley share.

The match between Banks-Bayley and Nia Jax-Shayna Baszler was a barn burner. Now, after accepting her loss, Sasha Banks broke her silence about the situation.

Sasha Banks shifts blame for WWE Payback loss

According to the WWE Superstar, she did not tap out. This is significant because ‘the Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection’ lost the title after tapping out. The situation was – Shayna Baszler brought both of them in her grips. With one hand she caught Sasha Banks with the Muta Lock while with the other she used the Kirifuda Clutch on Bayley.

The double-hand locks were severe enough for the match to end with The ‘Golden Role Models’ tapping out. However, Sasha was not the one to throw the white flag. It was Bayley who couldn’t endure the pressure.

Some of Sasha’s fans supported her stand.

This subtle shift of blame towards Bayley gives WWE a huge opening for a storyline. This will lead to the crumbling of the Banks-Bayley empire. There is no doubt that the company was building towards a feud between the two WWE Superstars.

Now, with Bayley retaining a title and Sasha Banks without any, there is a chance that the two of them will clash in the ring for the SmackDown Title in the coming episodes.
