“I Don’t Support…”: MJF Goes Anti-War and Spreads Peace as War Continues in the Middle-East

Celebrities have always been vocal about the various affairs going around the world, and speak about several international issues. This also includes pro wrestlers, who have spoken their minds multiple times about key events. The latest person to get added to this list is none other than the AEW Champion, MJF.

MJF carries a lot of star power behind him. The same is visible every time he speaks either on the mic or on the internet. A recent social media post captured the AEW Championship holder speaking about the ongoing armed conflict in the Middle East that has taken everyone by storm.

Friedman recently penned a letter in The Players Tribune displaying some statements from MJF. The quotes were, “Allow me to say this, straight up, point blank… I don’t support people — any people — dying because of hate.” While he made it clear that he didn’t support violence, he also revealed what he wanted.

MJF continued, “I’ll tell you what I do support & what I definitely am: I’m anti-hate.” The tweet also mentioned, “On a daily basis, I’m having to read antisemitic sh*t from all kinds of people: celebrities (hi, Kanye), strangers, even people I know. It’s just very sad.” MJF’s words showed disappointment in the people who have big fan followings, and whose words carry a lot of weight.

The AEW champ further wrote, “We’re all human, man. We all deserve rights, we all deserve freedom, we all deserve happiness & respect. (I really wanted to clarify these things & I hope I have.” Several notable celebrities have condoned the war and MJF tried to do the same with his words.

While his words spoke about the loss of lives from wars, his recent work also talked about the unfortunate deaths of people. In fact, he also highligted a tragic story of loss alongside Zac Efron in his latest movie, The Iron Claw.

The pro wrestling movie about a crooked and lethal curse

The Iron Claw recently hit the theaters amidst much fanfare. The film told the story of the Von Erich pro wrestling family and the unfortunate incidents that slowly reduced their numbers. The deaths faced by the family were so frequent and tragic that many call the deaths the ‘Von Erich Curse’.

MJF and Zac Efron worked very hard in the movie and gave life to a story narrating a tale of death, sorrow, and loss. The film received respect and accolades from several pro wrestlers like John Cena, who appreciated the movie a lot. What are your thoughts on this? Let them flow in the comments.
