SmackDown kicked off with the usual brilliant promo by Roman Reigns. Even with an excellent talker like Paul Heyman by his side, the Chief was excellent on the microphone. Reigns talked about his win against Daniel Bryan at the Elimination Chamber, before coming to the reason his night was imperfect.

Edge delivered a Spear to Reigns after his title defense at Elimination Chamber, making their WrestleMania match official. On SmackDown, the Tribal Chief offered the Rated-R Superstar the chance to leave and spend time with his family.

“Back out, beat it, scram, get out of here. Don’t look back, go home. You got a beautiful family, you’re a father, you’re a husband. I don’t wanna hurt you. I like what you stand for, I appreciate your legacy, the comeback, everything you represent, the impossible, it’s all great, but I don’t wanna hurt you.”

After explaining why he wouldn’t want to hurt Edge at WrestleMania, Reigns added insult to injury. He said, “A man like you just doesn’t stand a chance against a man like me.”

Daniel Bryan’s amazing performance at the Elimination Chamber warranted a title match, but Bryan received a beating. Reigns picked apart the weary Bryan and bragged about his win as if he went through a 30-minute war.

On SmackDown, Bryan called out to the champion for his cowardly win and braggadocios attitude. Instead of the Chief, Bryan received the Chief’s hunting dog. Jey Uso and Daniel Bryan clashed in the main event of the show, which ended in an unfortunate double count-out.

After the match, Reigns pummeled Bryan with punches, leaving the former World Champion laying flat in the ring. Bryan is definitely going to pursue another title shot and a WrestleMania main event, but will he be able to overcome the Tribal Chief?
