With this interview, WWE has surely teased a future AJ Styles and
Undertaker feud and a match at a major event. The Phenomenal One has been one of the few wrestlers who has had the honor of being complimented by the Undertaker and while he appears to be a brat on the screen, Styles in real admires and respects the Deadman. Both of them are legends in their own right with their contribution to the industry, which alone is enough to warrant a series of matches between the two. With the acclaim that the Boneyard match got, WWE does not have a reason to not let the two men collide.
The company can take its time to build a match too. Taker has recently signed a 15-year contract with the company. Similarly, AJ has decided to not jump ship to AEW and remain loyal. With this security, we could expect Styles to keep cutting promos directed at the Deadman.
Fans speculate that these two legends might face at Survivor Series this year. The Deadman debuted at the event in 1990, 30 years ago. He will be looking forward to celebrating his 30th anniversary. The best way for him to do that might be another cinematic match with the Phenomenal One to commemorate his career.
