When it comes to the handful of talented wrestlers who deserve to be signed by a major promotion to wreck their free-agent status, it would be a sin, not to mention former AEW star, Kylie Rae. She exhibited enough potential and spark to rise to the top with her brief run in several top promotions. However, she fell short of sustaining the momentum.

Rae is yet to settle on one suitable promotion for chiseling out the best of her professional wrestling career. Nevertheless, the Chicago native meanwhile seems to get a more stable promotion in her personal life. She is about to make her debut in motherhood.

A common trend among wrestling superstars is to choose their in-ring partner as their real-life partner. There are a plethora of examples throughout the industry. Rae, too, chose to take the common path and ended up falling in love with fellow indie star Isaias Velasquez. The couple revealed their committed status back in 2020 through Instagram posts.

Three years later, they finally rose to the next big step of their relationship and couldn’t help sharing the big news with their fans. Through a joint post on Instagram, the couple put their pet dog’s photo carrying a banner that says, ‘Mom & Dad, are getting me a human. Due: 10.12.23.’ Rae captioned it like ‘Big sister alert.’

Coming back to Rae’s wrestling pursuits, the 30-year-old didn’t come out very lucky throughout her career so far.

What happened to Kyle Rae’s wrestling career?

Rae has gone through a lot in her professional life over the past few years. She created a huge hype by being among the first women signed to AEW. She formed a major part of their first PPV, Double or Nothing, fighting in a fatal four-way match alongside Awesome Kong, Britt Baker, and Nyla Rose.

However, shortly after she demanded a release and got it approved amicably, as per Tony Khan’s confirmation. Rae also joined Impact Wrestling but was kicked out of the promotion prematurely. While nothing specific has been known, the releases have a significant connection with her declining mental health conditions at that time.

Rae also made huge speculation after her recent WWE tryout and main event performance. Fans expect her to be the next big thing for the Stamford-based promotion, but could never get to see things moving further.

However, it’s still possible for her to sign with the biggest wrestling promotion in the world after the safe landing of her 1st child. For now, we send our heartiest congratulations and prayers to the couple.
