Following WWE SummerSlam, this week’s Raw saw an exciting turn of events. NXT superstar Keith Lee made his main roster debut, and the dark group Retribution attacked Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Most importantly, Randy Orton punt kicked and injured the WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.

Before this week’s Raw, McIntyre spoke to Newsweek and revealed his experience in the WWE ThunderDome, among many things.

The interviewer asked Drew McIntyre about who he is looking forward to seeing in Post-PPV WWE the most. He said, “There’s a few people that have stepped up and continue to step up and there’s more to come. I know there’s more to come from Aleister Black for sure. I’m just waiting for that big moment.”

McIntyre continued, “He knows his character as well as I know mine. He knows what he’s going for and it’s really cool and I guess it’s just doing it the right way to connect the right way because he’s got all the tools. Once you put the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle in the right place is when someone gets on a roll. I think Aleister Black is finally going to put that jigsaw puzzle together and he’s going to be on the run of a lifetime.”

Coincidentally, Aleister Black returned to WWE on the Raw following Summerslam, as a part of the Kevin Owens Show. As we reported earlier, Black shocked everyone by attacking Owens and turning heel. On the same Night!

It seems Drew McIntyre’s wishful thinking is coming true! WWE is yet to announce if there’ll be an Owens vs. Black match on this week’s Payback PPV.
