On the recent episode of ‘To Be The Man #20: ASK NAITCH ANYTHING’, a fan asked Ric Flair a serious question. The fan asked Naitch’s advice for the people who have lost their children.
The 2-time Hall of Famer said, “Not to uh….God, I don’t know! I made some bad choices after Reid passed. I would say to surround yourself with your family and not to just stray off and find so much misery within yourself.”
Flair added, “My problem was that I blamed myself and there’s no way to share that guilt because he was with me. We called like the dying upset a thousand of times, dying on my watch.”
Reid Flair passed away at the age of 25 years old. The cause of his passing away was a drug overdose. They found him dead in bed at a Residence Inn in the South Park neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina.

He mainly wrestled on the independent circuit from 2008 to 2012. Reid had also signed a WWE developmental contract, but it didn’t work out. Before passing away, he wrestled in NJPW for some time.

It is a devastating moment for any parent to see their child pass away. Similarly, ‘The Nature Boy’ wasn’t himself after losing his son in 2013. After giving the advice, Flair opened up on the same.
The Nature Boy recalled, “But I have made some terrible choices in my life after that, I drank a lot. I drank, but I mean that was like majored in as I said 10:00 AM to 2 for five years. I completely put my life on hold because I blamed myself and I do to this day somewhat, you know. You wanted to be like me and that wasn’t cool.”

Flair and Conrad Thompson became silent at that moment. While Thompson was proceeding with the next question, Flair added more advice. The 16-time world champion further said, “I would just say surround yourself with family, not the first girl that can tell you something to take your mind off it.”
