Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest names in female wrestling and UFC at the moment. Her Knockout records in UFC and her wins and performances in WWE are no secrets. A WWE rival of hers recently opened up about her impact on wrestling and MMA. She put their rivalry aside and made some big statements.

Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey had a heated rivalry, but it did not stop Lynch from giving her credit. Lynch said that she strongly believes Rousey is a leading figure in the history of MMA and women. Her rise to fame opened up the path for many more women to follow.

“I hate to bring her up but if Ronda Rousey, credit where credit is due,” said Lynch. “Look, if Ronda Rousey hadn’t been as good as she was in MMA, there wouldn’t have been women in the UFC and women [wouldn’t] see that and say, ‘I want to do that too.’ It starts by showing people what’s possible so that we can change the world.” She added.

A former mixed martial artist and UFC champion, ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’, is well-known for her experience in the sport. In 2011, she started her MMA career. In December 2016, she fought Amanda Nunes.

Rivalry Between Lynch and Rousey

One of the most heated WWE feuds in recent memory was Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey. Together with Charlotte Flair, they were two of the first three women to ever have the WrestleMania main event.

Lynch’s separated shoulder has forced her to miss the current game. Lynch said she has a lot more movement now and that the injury is mending swiftly in a recent Instagram Live interview with Brian Gewirtz. This was in contrast to what she had previously stated when it was first proposed that surgery might be an option in early August.
