Former CEO of WWE, Vince McMahon, is one of the most controversial figures in the pro wrestling industry. However, he was also the mastermind behind WWE’s emergence from a regional brand to an International organization.

Over the years, McMahon has been involved in various controversies as well. His most recent came after a series of allegations of hush money rose against him, and he was forced to retire from his position. McMahon is currently enjoying his retired life, away from all the chaos.

A decades-old video has now resurfaced on the internet, where Vince McMahon is seen getting questioned about the bad habits of former wrestlers. However, McMahon cleverly dodged the questions and only answered questions that touched just the surface.

McMahon answered about the illegal substance usage of superstars. He said, If you can’t cut it, get out. What’s wrong with that? No different from any other business, by the way. You know, if for some reason you have to rely on drugs, illegal drug usage to make it? You are gonna self-destruct.”

However, when the host asked McMahon if he had any reason for the early deaths of several wrestlers, the former CEO seemed visibly agitated. He said, Why don’t you ask yourself that question? Why are you indicating that it’s my responsibility these people are dead? I would accept no responsibility whatsoever for their untimely deaths. None, whatsoever.”

He further claimed that he was not responsible for their death and that his was not the only organization they worked at.

Shawn Michaels opened up about Vince McMahon’s retirement plans

WWE Legend Shawn Michaels had quite the career. He won several championships and was one of the most popular superstars during his era. He maintained a good relationship with both Triple H and Vince McMahon, and over the years registered himself as one of the most respected personalities in the company.

HBK recently met with Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, and discussed several things. One of which was, Vince McMahon’s retirement plans.

Michaels said, “He always made jokes that, ‘If I die at Gorilla position, the show has to go on. Don’t move me. We got to get to seg 10 and 11 and finish the show.” You can talk about it, again, there’s lots of big talk in our line of work, but very rarely you see it get delivered on, but he’s always done what he’s felt was best for business.”

The former DX-Generation member stated he never envisioned working without Vince McMahon at his desk, and how much they loved working with him. McMahon’s retirement came as a shocker, but under Triple H the organization will now look to carry on and extend McMahon’s legacy.
