One of the greatest in the ring, Ric Flair, is a respected figure in the wrestling community. For screaming out loud, the man is also a pop culture icon. His music videos with Migos and Bad Bunny have only showered more spotlight on the 16-time World Champion.

Flair’s persona in the ring and media is something that people have copied and they successfully reached the top of their careers. Just one look at former UFC World Champion Conor McGregor is enough to get a glimpse of a younger Flair.

But while many love the guy, some have their reservations. And no celebrity is a celebrity without a certain amount of backlash. While it may be from old friends and colleagues or the young blood, Flair has been a target of many people. But a certain current WWE superstar feels supportive of the 73-year-old.

Ric Flair reveals talking with Ronda Rousey

On his podcast with Conrad Thompson, Flair reveals his chit-chat with Ronda Rousey. He said, “You know, I don’t know because Ronda is pretty full of herself, man. I really enjoy Ronda. I enjoyed talking to Ron and my time with her, and I said, ‘you think I could shoot a low single-engine and take you down?’ She said, ‘I’ll kill you.’”

It took place right before WrestleMania 35 main event between Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and his daughter Charlotte Flair. Later in the interview, The Nature Boy praised both Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. He compared Rousey’s wrestling coach, Kurt Angle, to the former Raw Women’s Champion. But it is strange that on a podcast called To Be A Man, there was no mention of The Man of WWE, Becky Lynch.

First Women’s main event in WrestleMania history

Ever since the Four Horsewomen came to the main roster, there has only been an uptick in the quality of women’s wrestling. Not only are women given more time and storylines, but the matches have improved significantly. There have been many main event positions given to women these days as well.

Stars like Ronda Rousey, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch have knocked it out of the park since the first WrestleMania women’s main event. And other than the four horsewomen, there are also new and budding stars who are stealing the audiences’ hearts. Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley look very confident in racing ahead with the baton passed down by the women before them.
