Big E appeared on a session with Renee Paquette, where he revealed he would like to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

However, Big E is concerned that if that match happens, it shouldn’t be where Roman is at a higher position than him. He wants to establish himself as a hot asset before WrestleMania.

“When you look at the WWE pecking order, he’s at the very top, and having that match is the biggest moment. I’m very much just of the mindset like do the best with what you are given and I hope we’re at a point in another month or two where I feel like I’m established enough and I’m hot enough where it makes sense.”

“I have no idea what the plan is and I also want this to feel earned. I feel sometimes you can get too much too soon.”

Both Big E and Renee Paquette agree on the fact that he’s been around long enough that a title shot makes sense. On the other hand, Roman Reigns is a huge name in the industry.

The other names taken alongside Reigns are Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton. It’s not because they are better at wrestling than others, but because the audience connected with them much better than they connected with other Superstars.

There is a certain section of the audience who wants to witness this match happen. Whether WWE moves forward with this depends on how the team plans out the storylines.

Currently, Big E is the Inter-Continental Champion. He secured this title from Sami Zayn on Christmas 2020. There’s a possibility that Zayn will return to challenge him for the title at one of the PPV events. As of now, WWE have announced nothing for Royal Rumble 2021.

Roman Reigns is in a rivalry with Kevin Owens with Jey Uso by his side. WWE booked the duo to clash at the upcoming Royal Rumble 2021 for the WWE Universal Championship.

Hence, even if Roman Reigns and Big E are booked for a rivalry, the company will need to pass on the IC Championship to somebody else.

It’s doubtful that Roman Reigns will agree to passing the WWE Universal Championship to someone else in order to pursue the Intercontinental Championship.
