‘The Tribal Chief’ Roman Reigns has become a must-see superstar. Ever since he made his comeback at SummerSlam 2020, putting an end to his stale babyface persona, the former Shield member grabbed the Universal Title for the second time in his career and has delivered some stellar title defenses.

The Tribal Chief’s ‘missionary’ joke wasn’t scripted

During a promo segment on SmackDown, Reigns addressed Cena after he challenged Roman for the title at SummerSlam. At first, Roman declined the offer but continued to attack Cena verbally.

He mocks Cena for being the same man since 2005, coming out with the same music, wearing the same old jorts, it’s like “missionary” position every night. It was odd because Vince wouldn’t allow such language.

Everyone remembers the infamous promo segment between Cena and Reigns before the No Mercy pay-per-view back in 2017. The WWE Universe witnessed Reigns forgetting his lines and getting stuck in front of the live crowd.

With those days gone, this new Roman Reigns is tenfold better. Speaking on the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, Reigns confessed he doesn’t follow the script anymore and says what he thinks is best out there.

Roman Reigns confesses he does not follow the script anymore

“There was a portion of my career where I’d either read a script or I would try to adjust a script as much as possible. For a while now, especially since I’ve come back from my little leave during the beginning of the pandemic since SummerSlam, I’m not scripted. I say what I want to, I say what I feel, and if it comes out of my mouth, it’s my verbiage.” Reigns continued, “I come up with it. I deliver it, and that’s why it’s been the way it’s been because it’s mine.” [h/t:fightful]

‘The Head of the Table’ is so confident that he says if he leaves SmackDown now, then who else is there to carry the Blue brand?

“Even if, even if they try to say something to me, I wouldn’t have cared anyways. What are you gonna do, not have me on SmackDown next week? Like I did before SummerSlam during last summer. I’ll go home. It doesn’t matter to me.”
