The always disciplined G.O.A.T of the WWE has always had a love for the industry, his workout, and video games. Yes, Cena used to love video games back in the day. Sitting down with co-actor Zac Efron, Cena delved into his favorite games and childhood memories.
Cena and Efron will be seen in the upcoming comedy movie Ricky Stanicky, which will be released on March 7, 2024. Before this, the two were seen for the promotion of the movie The Iron Claw.

John Cena reveals his favorite N64 games
While sitting down with Zac Efron for the igndotcom interview for the movie, the host had a rather interesting question for Efron. He asked Efron what games he was currently playing. To this, Efron answered that he was playing Super Smash Bros. While this is a beloved timeless classic, the attention then went to Cena.

Cena claimed that his gaming knowledge went all the way back to his childhood when he played Tecmo Super Bowl and NES Baseball Star. Following this, Cena said, “I’m pretty nasty on an 8-bit system.” This resulted in Efron bringing up the fact that he found his old N64 console in a storage unit. This bit of information brought up a spark in Cena, who called out “Bond- 007” before stating the actual name Goldeneye.
Following this, Cena also said he loved WCW vs. NWO as his two favorite games on that console. While Efron acknowledged the games and said he loved them, too. This led to Cena ending the segment on a funny note, “I have dated myself.”

In an interview with GQ in 2017, Cena also expressed his admiration for the revered game Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Hollywood actor has expressed his affinity for video games in the past as well, with Cena remarking with awe at the extent how the medium has evolved. Nevertheless, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that the WWE icon has a horde of video game knowledge that he puts to good use.
