“I’m Rediscovering Who Mark Calaway Is”: The Undertaker Gets Brutally Honest on Personal Issues Due to His WWE Character

The Undertaker is someone that will forever live in the hearts of millions of WWE fans. Everyone around the world respects and admires him.

Mark Calaway (The Undertaker’s real name) did everything possible to make his WWE character such a huge success, and this includes living life as The Undertaker.

Recently, the WWE legend admitted he had always been in The Undertaker mode throughout these years. But that made him sacrifice a lot of things in his personal life.

During an interview on the Out of Character with Ryan Satin podcast, ‘The Phenom‘ described his off-screen personality.

The Undertaker said, “I’m a lot lighter. I’m not nearly as dark as what you see on TV. There was a long period of time where it was hard for me to shut Undertaker off. I lived that character and that sometimes boiled over into my personal life.”

“But at this point, I’m rediscovering who Mark Calaway is. And a lot of things that I sacrificed for the sake of my career and that character, I am getting to do now and it’s really cool,” he added.

Further, the WWE legend revealed he is now finally getting to spend some quality time with his family rather than thinking about who is going to be his next opponent.

But ‘The Phenom’ also admitted he misses being in the ring and had his body allowed him, he still would have been out there in the ring. The Undertaker is soon going to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and the fans are eagerly waiting for that moment.
