However, Hogan has had an equal share of controversies during his run. One of the most controversial issues to plague the 69-year-old was allegations of steroid use. Even though he denied it, it left a dent in his career. Angry over the allegation, Hogan once cried foul against newspapers for ruining his reputation.

Appearing on the Arsenio Hall Show in 1991, the 2x WWE Hall of Famer didn’t mince words as he tore into the media for speculating on his life. “I’m upset, outraged, and mad and all that other kind of stuff because basically the paper speculated when my name got thrown in the wringer, it turned into the Hulk Hogan Trial and they didn’t direct the focus on what this thing was all about,” Hogan said.
