Is Finn Balor Moving Towards His Second Loss as the ‘Demon’ at WWE Extreme Rules 2021?

The inaugural WWE Universal Champion, Finn Balor will have a one-on-one match against ‘The Tribal Chief’ of WWE, Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship title.

However, it will not just be Finn Balor who will go against Reigns. Balor will come out as his alter ego called “The Demon King”, whenever Balor is in his ‘Demon’ form he becomes invincible.

However, with Roman Reigns being the top money-drawer for WWE for over a year now, it looks like Balor is heading for his second loss under the moniker of ‘The Demon King’.

WWE willing to establish Roman Reigns as a force against ‘The Demon King’ Finn Balor?

The champion Roman Reigns is currently having multiple storylines in WWE. And the major attraction is the brewing feud between Roman Reigns and ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar.

The WWE team is right now facing a dilemma because the creative team has heavily protected Finn Balor’s ‘Demon’ character. In the past, Balor has faced stars AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt in his ‘Demon’ character, and has not lost the fights.

However, Balor has lost only once in his career in his alter ego character, and that was against Samoa Joe at NXT TakeOver before Balor’s main roster debut. However, it looks like he may be heading towards his “second” loss.

The reason Balor could lose his match at WWE Extreme Rules is that WWE is planning to have a big-money match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel.

The nature of that match is supposedly a non-title match, but it still keeps the WWE Universe excited about the rivalry. However, this is Finn Balor’s legit proper shot at the Universal Championship after he had to relinquish it back in 2016.

And WWE does not want to book Balor poorly.
