The Anoa’i family is one of the legendary families that has contributed immensely to the pro wrestling business. Yokozuna, Rikishi, Umaga, and Rocky Johnson are some of the most notable names from the Anoa’i family. But arguably the biggest name from the family is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who dominated The Attitude Era alongside Steve Austin.

In recent times Roman Reigns has made his family proud, not just as a singles superstar but also his entire bloodline. When Roman Reigns fought Jey Uso for the first time in HIAC 2020 PLE, it led to the beginning of The Bloodline saga. Soon, Jimmy Uso followed and the family was complete when Solo Sikoa joined The Bloodline during the Clash at the Castle 2022 PLE.

  1. Solo Sikoa was born on March 18 1993 to Rikishi and Talisua Fuavai Fatu. Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso are his real-life brothers who are older than him. His brothers, Jey and Jimmy Uso were born on the same day, 22nd August 1985. Other than the Usos, Solo Sikoa is the brother to Thavana Monalisa Fatu and Thamiko T Fatu, who are not related to wrestling.
  2. However, it’s their connection to Roman Reigns that’s more confusing. Reigns appears as their cousin on screen, and he fits the description as per his age. But, the relationship between Reigns and Rikishi’s sons is not as simple as it looks. Hierarchy-wise Reigns is their uncle, as he is a cousin to Rikishi.
  3. So, technically Reigns is their first cousin, once removed. Once removed is a term that is used to describe cousins who are a generation apart. Roman Reigns is also the first cousin of Yokozuna, Rikishi, and The Tonga Kid but on-screen he is known as the cousin of Solo Sikoa and the Usos.

Despite being from the same family lineage and working in the same business for many years, Solo had never been close to Reigns. In fact, Sikoa admitted that he hadn’t “seen him” in over 20 years before Clash at the Castle last year.

Solo Sikoa explains why he never wanted to be an Uce

While referring to the moment, Solo Sikoa in an interview with Wrestling With Rosenberg said,You know, seeing Roman in Cardiff, I haven’t seen him for like over 20 years. We really weren’t close but he was always around at our house, playing with my brothers, because they were the same age and I was way younger than them. He was always around our house, but I think now coming into the business, I’m starting to get close to him, even though the age gap is there. I’m really starting to get close with him because, I mean, it’s big uce Roman Reigns, he’s been running this game for a while now.” Sikoa referred to the moment when he got closer to the Tribal Chief through is WWE career.

Describing his on-screen gimmick, Sikoa revealed that he never wanted to be an Uce like his brother. Since his WWE debut in 2018 (NXT), he has worked hard enough to make his own identity and he is happily carrying it. During his interview with GiveMe Sport, he said, “I was thinking about and was like, ‘I hope I’m not doing all this hard work in NXT, I’m establishing who I am and building my character, how I look and how I am.’ I’m different from my brothers. I got the blonde hair.

Now, Sikoa has successfully built his separate identity after months of hard work in The Bloodline. Since his debut, he battled against Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens. These are some of the biggest names in the WWE as of now and Sikoa has only been pinned by Cody Rhodes. In fact, during their match at SummerSlam, it was Roman Reigns who was pinned by Jey Uso, thus ensuring that Solo Sikoa remained protected.

Now, that Reigns is absent from regular TV programs, Sikoa has got his opportunity to shine. In the absence of The Tribal Chief, he is ensuring that the will of Reigns remains intact on the WWE. Currently, he is feuding against another legendary star John Cena while having trouble accepting Jimmy Uso back to The Bloodline.
