Friday Night SmackDown is one of WWE’s most highly rated shows, and fans love it because of its progressive storylines and character use. What SmackDown does better than Raw is using the talent they have to their fullest capacity. One such example in recent weeks is of the ‘Swiss Superman’ Cesaro.
Cesaro set for a huge push after signing a new deal with WWE
Various reports were doing rounds in the past week regarding Cesaro’s WWE contract status. There were rumors that Cesaro’s contract was coming up right after WrestleMania, and he had not signed a new deal.

All those rumors have ended as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio noted that Cesaro has signed a new multi-year contract with WWE.
The entire pro-wrestling world has waited for Cesaro to get the World Championship run he truly deserves. He’s in WWE since 2012 and has won many Tag Team Championships and singles championships, but not the big prize. There were even doubts on if he will re-sign, but he finally did and the reason is exciting.

As per the Observer, original plans were to have Cesaro in the babyface role Shinsuke Nakamura played in the Gauntlet Match a few weeks ago. We don’t know why they scrapped those plans, but his re-signing came around the same timeline.
Cesaro’s push over the last month or so has reignited the WWE Universe’s heart with hope. He’s got two decisive victories over Daniel Bryan, and the fist bump to Bryan following his match this week may be the sign of him turning babyface again.
Bryan himself is the brain behind this push.

The ‘Swiss Cyborg’ is pound for pound the strongest, most agile, and toughest wrestler out there in the WWE. He is a world-traveled Superstar who has achieved everything except for the one big prize – a WWE/Universal Championship. Paul Heyman already believes Cesaro vs Reigns is a WrestleMania headliner.
WWE signed Cesaro in 2012 and has done it all since then; He even lost his first name! Unfortunately, he hasn’t held the top gold until now.
We guess he has definitely put up a clause to re-sign only if a World Championship reign is guaranteed. Plus, DB plays a major role in booking SmackDown. So, it’s quite possible, isn’t it?
