Night One of WrestleMania XL has already set the internet ablaze with its high-voltage action. The WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley put up one hell of a fight as she retained her title against Becky Lynch. While Mami strived through and ended up as the winner of her match, her Judgment Day teammates endured a very rough night.

Damian Priest and Finn Balor stepped into the ring to defend their Undisputed Tag Team Championship in a Six-Pack Ladders Match. However, they lost their titles, and the belts ended up splitting once again from The Judgment Day’s grasp. Dominik Mysterio also suffered a tag team loss against his father, Rey Mysterio. Thus, the Judgment Day registered a win rate of just 25 percent and Rhea Ripley expressed her frustration over it.

Rhea Ripley continued her dominance from Australia in Philadelphia and defended her title for the first time after reaching the one-year milestone. She attended the WrestleMania XL press conference after her win and gave some insightful answers to key questions. While she breezed past everything asked about her title defense, Mami expressed her bitterness over the loss of her crew. Ripley said, “I’m not too stoked about it to be completely honest. It sucks. It sucks. We really wanted tonight to be the moment for the Judgment Day where we solidify ourselves as the main threat here within the WWE. I’m always going to be proud of my boys, always. They put up a hell of a fight. Damien and Finn were in there with many other tag teams, so the odds were stacked against them.”

She even commented on the loss of her on-screen lover, Dominik Mysterio.

Rhea Ripley continued, “I will forever be so extremely proud of him and his accomplishments and how much he’s grown in the past year and a half to two years. He has skyrocketed with his confidence and everything that he does is just so genuine and he is proving to everyone that he belongs here. He’s not just Rey Mysterio’s son, he belongs here, so I’m always going to be proud of him,” she said. While the WWE Women’s Champ was proud of her team, she didn’t shy away from expressing her dissatisfaction.

The Eradicator noted, “But there is that side of me as well where I’m frustrated, man. I’m frustrated. The Judgment day we were supposed to tape over WrestleMania XL and the boys. They didn’t get it done completely, but we’ll have to reconnect in the next day or two and talk about it and see what happens.” While Judgment Day didn’t have a good time, a former member of their team had a great night. In fact, he even ended up winning a title with his new teammate.

Former Judgment Day member R-Truth won the Raw Tag Team Championship along with The Miz. Team Awesome Truth looked sharp in the match with R-Truth even scoring a pinfall. While Austin Theory and Grayson Waller had escaped with the SmackDown Tag Team titles, Damian Priest tried to retain one-half of his former glory.

However, R-Truth took him down with an Attitude Adjustment to claim the top gold. The outcome of the match cames as a salt on the wounds of The Judgment Day after they shunned Truth who had tried multiple times to stamy his entry into the faction.
