For a backstage interviewer, the WWE can be a tough place to work. From wrestlers being difficult to poor management, one will take a while to find their footing. However, Renee Paquette was gracious enough to have John Cena as her first interviewee.
Renee interviewed the 16-time World Champion back in 2012, and she opened up about that experience in an interview with Chris Van Vliet.

“My first interview with them was with John Cena. At that time, I did not understand what that gravity meant.”
Interviewing a World Champion is a big deal, but one who’s often considered the greatest of all time can be nerve-wracking. As for Paquette, she did not feel the gravity of the situation.
“They were counting down the PR guy who was with Cena at the time and they’re like, ‘We’re actually not going to do this interview.’ I was trying too hard to make the segments about myself instead of trying to put over the talent, but I remember Cena was being very gracious and sweet.
“He was like, ‘The world is going to know in moments.’ I had just gotten out of the shower and my phone just starts blowing up. So, it took the pressure off of me having to figure out some cute little way to do it. I actually loved that it came from him. It was easy.”
Cena helped the interview go on air, giving Renee the exposure she needed, which is a very kind gesture.

John Cena is often targeted and accused of being the man with the golden shovel. During his lengthy career, Cena has allegedly buried a ton of talent. He’s even been accused of preventing certain Superstars from rising to the top.

These notions are backed by true instances, especially during his rivalries with the Nexus, Baron Corbin and Elias. However, the Champ should be credited for being one of the nicest and kindest people in the WWE.
Cena is the poster boy for the ‘Be A Star’ campaign. He has put over tons of stars, from AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan to Kevin Owens and CM Punk. The aforementioned instance with Renee Paquette is another credit to Cena’s pseudo philanthropy in the WWE.
