“It Was Much Later”: Charlotte Flair Finally Reveals Her Feelings on Ric Flair Not Being Present for Her When She Was Young

Charlotte Flair has made a name for herself in WWE and is no longer under the shadow of his father, Ric Flair. After being on the road for a decade, she understands how difficult it is to maintain regular visits to family members. Recently, she shared how she felt about her father ‘The Nature Boy’ not being around often when he was wrestling full time.

While speaking on The Dan LeBatard Show podcast ‘The Queen’ shared she has no “resentment” towards Ric Flair for not being there all the time. 

The current SmackDown Women’s Champion said, “No, my dad made a great effort at anything as he could be when he was home. It was much later in his career when my brother and I were born versus my older brother and sister. No, there is no resentment, I just wasn’t into it. To be honest it wasn’t my this. ”

Before becoming a WWE superstar, we saw Charlotte Flair appear on several shows to see her father. Most of them happened in the late 90s and early 2000s in WCW and WWE. She was present to cheer her father during his matches.

The Nature Boy is proud of his daughter for all the work she is doing. Moreover, The Queen is happy where she is in her life. Also, there are still many big moments to come for her. She is set to face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39 to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Her accomplishments speak for themselves and being a full-time pro wrestler she realizes how tough it is to balance your professional and personal life.

Charlotte Flair used to show off being the daughter of Ric Flair

The Queen mentioned she wasn’t a fan of professional wrestling. Furthermore, she has no resentment for Naitch not always being there. But during her early days, she made sure to visit him at arenas with her volleyball team and showed off Ric Flair being her father.

Flair said, “My brothers were into it. My little brother Ried wanted to be literally the next Ric Flair. I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh it’s my dad. Hey, guys let’s just go, my dad’s wrestling tonight.’ I would take the volleyball team more to like show off that my dad is Ric Flair, not necessarily that I want to do this.”

However, years later today, the roles are reversed. Now, The Nature Boy proudly shows off in front of the people, saying Charlotte Flair is his daughter. The name Flair is still evergreen in wrestling as after the ‘Dirtiest Player in the Game’, ‘The Queen’ is becoming the top Flair in the sport.
