The retirement of Vince McMahon brought many questions to the mind of WWE fans. Who will run the product and will McMahon still be interfering with the product outside the company through Triple H and Stephanie? In a recent interview, Triple H cleared all the rumors surrounding him and McMahon.

After being appointed as the Head of the Creative Triple H had a conversation with Ariel Helwani. In the conversation, Hunter made it clear that he was running the division by himself without any interference.

Triple H explained in the interview how conflict of interest generates in a business. And he used symbolism to describe how his current position allows him to be in full control compared to earlier. “Chocolate and vanilla. I want chocolate, you want vanilla. One of us has to pick a flavor. He (Vince) would always pick the flavor.”

“Now it’s my turn to pick the flavor. It’s all good. It’s all ice cream, but it’s my time to pick the flavor and I have to be confident in those decisions. I can’t look back and say what would Vince want to have for flavor because it just wouldn’t be authentic then.”

Triple H made it clear that now, when he has the power to make the big decisions he always wanted to make, he will not look back. The Game is confident in his creative decision about the product. And that’s what his father-in-law advised him before retiring.

Vince McMahon’s advice to Triple H

Triple H also spoke about the advice Vince McMahon gave him before leaving WWE. “He (Vince) alluded to me is like, ‘look, you’re going to do things. You cannot think about how I (Vince) would do things.’” said Triple H Vince McMahon made it clear to his son-in-law that if he’ll be authentic in terms of creativity, only then he will be able to stand out as the Head Of Creative.

What a piece of honest advice given by the WWE veteran to his son-in-law. Vince had faith in Triple H and he proved him right after successfully hosting two main events and the product is looking better than ever.

Now when The King Of Kings is running the WWE ship at full throttle, we can only hope that he doesn’t hit an iceberg like Mr. McMahon.
