“It’s Happening”: Wrestling Fans Divided Over Former WWE Star Sasha Banks’ Rumored AEW Debut

WWE is one of the most premier wrestling promotions of all time. The organization has been at the top of the food chain for a long time and has been equally responsible for producing some of the greatest pro wrestlers ever.

Some of the world’s top pro wrestlers started their journey from here. Superstars such as Hulk Hogan, John Cena, The Rock and many more made their name here.

However, WWE has been equally responsible for promoting and uplifting several female wrestlers as well. Former WWE Superstar Sasha Banks is currently trending, and because of a strong reason.

Banks made her debut for WWE, as a female superstar on WWE NXT. After closely working with Triple H in NXT, she gradually made her way to the main-roster. Soon, she made a name for herself as one of the best female workers in the company, and became a top star.

However, last year, after some tussle with the management backstage, she walked out on the company, and was stripped off her title.

And just like that, she disappeared from the public eye. Until recently, when rumours of her heading to NJPW and AEW started doing rounds. She confirmed the rumours and made her way to NJPW to take out Kairi.

Mercedes Mone, as she is known right now, took out Kairi and challenged her to a match. However, moments after her NJPW debut, Banks again became a hot topic, as she was now rumored to appear on AEW, in a segment between Saraya, Toni Storm and Shida.

As the news made its way to the internet fans lost their cool, and gave out a mixed reaction.

Sasha Banks or Mercedes Mone is one of the most talked about female wrestlers currently. And her future career is a major talking point. However, it had died out a little after Wrestle Kingdom only to begin again with rumours of her appearing on AEW.

A feud between Saraya and Banks could be worth watching, since it was Banks who had ended Saraya’s career in WWE. Fans gave in a mixed reception to the rumors of Bank heading to Tony Khan’s wrestling promotion.

If Banks does appear on AEW, it would be one of the most historic moments in wrestling history, and make fans go crazy seeing their favourite female wrestler on the show,
