“It’s Time For Someone New”: John Cena Once Got Brutally Trolled By Female WWE Star For Getting “Dropped” By Nikki Bella

There is no other WWE superstar in history who has more longevity than John Cena. The 16-time world champion was always there when former chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon, wanted a big name to end any show. He kept WWE floating above water when McMahon had given up on competing with other wrestling promotions in North America.

But even the biggest stars have to step down for the new generation to come up and shine. While Cena was quick to leave the top spot, the other wrestlers weren’t ready for such a big change in the company. But breaking every glass barrier in the history of the sport; one female superstar showed everyone that she could be a great top star. And she did that while trolling Cena in front of everyone.

WWE star once took a personal shot at John Cena when returned in 2019

When John Cena returned to WWE, back in 2019, he had just gone through his most public breakup with fellow wrestler Nikki Bella. While he did manage to joke about it when he returned, another wrestler did make a pretty funny assessment. Becky Lynch said, “It’s time for someone new to step up, step in and fill your shoes and there’s only one person for the job. I think these people would agree with me, that that person is me. If you have a problem with that, Nikki Bella won’t be the only woman to drop you this year.”

During that time, there was no other superstar, male or female, who was popping more than Big Time Becks. She was the heart and soul of WWE for that entire year, and she did an excellent job while at the top. Not only do people consider her the next Stone Cold Steve Austin, but people also believe that she could have the longevity of Cena in the future.

Even after she returned after more than a year, people were still popping more for her in 2021. Her heel persona after coming back only succeeded after she proved that she was deserving of the hate. Even during her last match with Bianca Belair at SummerSlam 2022, fans were excitedly cheering for her. But unfortunately, she had to take some time off after her losing her belt, but we expect fans to lose it when she returns to the ring again.
