The hottest news of this year has to be the addition of Jade Cargill to the WWE roster. The signing happened on September 26th of this year and reportedly the star has started her training at the promotion’s performance center in Orlando.

Even though she has signed a multi-year contract, fans are still unsure where Big Jade fits into the equation. Especially since she hasn’t made any appearances in the ring, which made people online point out her wrestling skills. Well, now it looks like the 31-year-old star has a befitting response to online trolls.

It looks like the star is having the time of her life. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she talked about the perks of working with the Stamford-based promotion. She tweeted, “Whyyyy wrestle when my BIG check clears every week baby.” To this, a fan replied, “Cause this is the WRESTLING business. You gon have to lace your boots eventually.” Cargill gave a very befitting answer to the online critic, saying, “No, it’s the IM MAKING MONEY business.”

Since she was signed by WWE, Cargill has made very few appearances. Her first appearance was at the backstage of the October Premium Live Event, Fastlane. There she was seen greeting the Chief Content Officer of WWE, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. Following the event, Levesque was asked about when fans will get to see Jade Cargill in action. Hunter replied to this question by saying that when the time was right, she would spring into action.

The clue about who might be Jade Cargill’s first opponent was dropped by WWE on Night One of the WWE NXT Halloween Havoc episode on October 24, 2023. On that episode, fans witnessed Lyra Valkyria going toe to toe with none other than The Man, Becky Lynch. Lynch, who was the Women’s NXT Champion at the time, gave a tough fight, only to lose to Lady Valkyrie. But there was an unexpected guest present to watch the fight. During the fight, Jade Cargill happened to enter the stadium and walked all the way to a special chair arranged for her.

She sat for the entirety of the match just to see who would finally get their hands on the title. After the bout was over and Lynch had lost, the 36-year-old star had to hand over her title belt to the new NXT champion. During this time, fans noticed that Cargill and Lynch shared brief eye contact.

One take at a time

For me pro wrestling has two things that I like the most, storytelling and fighting. Let’s just say movies are failing to keep me entertained in those departments. I grew up watching WWF and not WWE and any hardcore fan will agree that the two are not the same, but I love both iterations.
