The arrival of WWE Hall of Famer Booker T marked the onset of the ‘Invasion’ storyline. The storyline happened when WWE bought its rival WCW, so naturally, a bunch of WCW talents wrestled against the WWE superstars. However, the fans still have a sour taste of the storyline. The WWE chairman infamously made the WWE superstars beat the established WCW superstars. This happened when The Undertaker faced Booker-T.
By the time Booker T made his WWE debut, he was already a five-time WCW World Champion – however, this didn’t change his mind.

Eventually, ‘Taker won the match. It was a match where it seemed like Booker was going over and could have delivered a major upset for the Deadman. However, this never happened.
WWE legend and the voice of wrestling Jim Ross confessed that a loss to Booker T would never have damaged The Undertaker.

Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, ‘Grilling JR‘, the veteran announcer revealed that the WWE chairman Vince McMahon never even considered the idea of Booker beating The Undertaker.

However, he still thinks that a loss against Booker T would never have affected Undertaker’s credibility as a wrestler inside the ring.
“He didn’t wanna beat Undertaker. No matter what the reason, he [Vince McMahon] didn’t wanna beat The Undertaker. But I will concur, the thought of Booker-T getting a heel-like win over the Undertaker, would only set up a great return. I would say that Vince [McMahon] didn’t even seriously consider that option. ‘Taker is going over.”

“A loss was not going to affect ‘Taker, he was a made man” Jim confessed.
However, this never affected Booker T’s credibility as well because he went on to become one of the top faces of Vince McMahon’s company.
