Joe Hendry has been turning tides in WWE Universe ever since dipping his feet in the developmental brand of WWE as part of the existing WWE-TNA deal. On June 18th, he first appeared in front of the WWE Universe to a huge pop. Although he was wiped out shortly after in the 25-men’s battle royal, his commendable in-ring presence brought him back again in the lore in July. In the most recent edition of NXT, for the third time, the Scottish star made his presence felt as Trick as Williams’ replacement partner and scored a huge win against Ethan Page and Shawn Spears. With this development, the rumors of his potential WWE signing reached greater heights. Nevertheless, did the TNA star just give away his first target in the promotion as well? A cryptic John Cena reference stirred the pot.
John Cena is just three matches away from leaving the building for once and all, as announced at MITB 2024. The legend had outlined his desire to go on one last magical run starting from Royal Rumble 2024. In an emotional chat, the Cenation leader convinced the crowd that his time had ended. But it seems that Joe Hendry, 36, is not ready to let his presence fade just yet. The TNA star previously expressed his long-time desire to wrestle the 16-times WWE Champion at any point in his career. Now, he’s making it a thing to watch out for by posting a photo of the legend in his Instagram feed.
