John Cena Is Reportedly Making His WWE Return Ahead of WrestleMania 37

Few wrestlers can spark interest in a jiffy, and one of them is John Cena. The sixteen-time World Champion has been away for a while, but he might come back sooner than you think. WrestleMania is months away and the Royal Rumble is in less than a week. If Cena returns, it will be the most optimum time of the year for him to make a comeback.

According to Ringside News, John Cena is going to be at WrestleMania.

“WrestleMania is coming up and we have John Cena WILL BE THERE. The problem is that information is not being shared. There is uncertainty about who he will work with and how many TV tapings he will be able to make along the way.”

This is fantastic news for the WWE and for the WWE Universe. Fans sorely miss Cena in the WWE and have not yet found an appropriate replacement for him. Besides, the drawing power of the former champion is second to none, even more than Brock Lesnar.

WrestleMania 37 will emanate from the Raymond James Stadium, the venue that meant to host WrestleMania 36. The global pandemic forced WWE to kiss their WrestleMania hopes goodbye in 2020, but 2021 might be different, especially with the return of John Cena himself.

Who will challenge the Champ at WrestleMania?

There are multiple superstars who would jump at the chance to face John Cena at WrestleMania. Cena might be coated with a heavy layer of what we call ring rust, and he might need the perfect dance partner to shake that rust off. A younger opponent, maybe even an NXT upstart, could be an appropriate opponent.

Adam Cole and John Cena did battle once in the 2018 Royal Rumble, but it didn’t amount to anything monumental. Fast forward to 2021, and Adam Cole has cemented himself as one of the top players in the game. A match with Cena would be the perfect way to welcome him to the main roster.

Cena needs one more title to accomplish the only thing remaining in his career, the Intercontinental Championship. The one title that will make Cena a Grand Slam Champion has eluded him for his entire career, but his return presents the opportunity to win the title that would cement his legacy as the GOAT.
