The American Nightmare was part of every major storyline and also fought the most number of matches in the calendar year compared to any other wrestler in the promotion. Owing to this, he also became the top-voted wrestler in several fan polls online, leaving everyone else behind.

While The American Nightmare is a big hit with the entire WWE Universe, he is especially loved by the kids. A recent social media upload made this fact more concrete as Cody Rhodes had an adorable interaction with a young admirer. In fact, fans clamored for Rhodes to win the WWE Championship as soon as possible.

Cody Rhodes forges a core memory for young fan

Social media is full of several Cody Rhodes stories where he reaches out to young fans and does something special for them. Be it ensuring the delivery of signed merchandise, or personally meeting a young fan. This time, however, a kid walked up to The American Nightmare instead and entered the ring to see him. A tweet on X captured the wholesome interaction that unfolded before the spectators. The video saw Cody Rhodes asking for the name of the young fan, turning to the audience and saying, “Let’s hear it for Harrison!”

Cody Rhodes then proceeded to ask who his favorite wrestler of Harrison. When the kid uttered Cody’s name, The American Nightmare stood up with joy. It was lovely to see Rhodes react ecstatically despite already knowing the answer since Harrison was dressed like him.

This beautiful instance hugely reached the hearts of every WWE Universe member. Many of them questioned why WWE had been blind to the value Cody Rhodes carries. The praise for Rhodes was spread across two tweets. In fact, several of them even put the babyface wrestler in the same league as the greatest face of WWE, John Cena.

The sweet way in which Cody Rhodes handled his interaction with the young fan immensely melted the WWE Universe. One of the fans couldn’t stop themselves from drawing a comparison between the 16-time WWE Champ and the man who should’ve already become one.

Finding an obvious connection, a fan said that The American Nightmare should inherit the legacy of John Cena.

The comments also displayed the frustration of one fan over Rhodes being kept away from the WWE Championship.
