WWE legend John Cena made a one-off appearance in a sketch meant to announce the WrestleMania venues for the next three events. Cena has been absent from WWE since facing the Fiend at WrestleMania 36. Hence, seeing him appear in a promo in his usual hilarious stage presence was a welcome sight.

WWE produced an amazing sketch similar to Saturday Night Live. Along with Cena were WWE’s resident power couple, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, Sasha Banks, Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman.

While Reigns and Heyman announced the venue for WrestleMania 37, and Banks announced the venue for WrestleMania 38, Cena announced the venue for the 39th edition. In 2023, WrestleMania will emanate from Los Angeles, and the WWE will go to Hollywood.

WWE will hold WrestleMania 39 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The venue was meant to host WrestleMania 37, but because of the pandemic and cancellation of WrestleMania 36 in Florida, they will hold the 2021 edition of the show at the Raymond James Stadium.

Cena played the role of a television news reporter, ‘Hugh Kantseeme,’ which was a funny and witty take on Cena’s catchphrase. It is unlikely that this will materialise into a Royal Rumble appearance, but it would certainly be a pleasant surprise.

While Cena announced the venue for WrestleMania in 2023, Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks were also on duty to report the new events. Roman Reigns, or should I say ‘Sunny McCloud,’ and Paul Heyman delivered a dead serious promo about WrestleMania 37 emanating from the Raymond James Stadium.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks announced the venue for WrestleMania in 2022. The event will be hosted in the city of Arlington, Texas, and from the massive AT&T Stadium.

AT&T Stadium played host to WrestleMania 32, the PPV with the much-disputed, highest attendance record.

The sketch was quite an entertaining one. It is really proof that WWE is stepping up their game in the entertainment part.

WWE is sports entertainment, but in 2020, the focus has been on the sport because of the competition from AEW. Seeing video packages like these reminds us that entertainment is still a large part of what entertains the WWE Universe.
