John Cena Once Chose a 58-Year-Old WWE Legend Over Hulk Hogan and the Undertaker for a Yesteryears’ Challenge

John Cena, one of the most popular WWE superstars and 16-time WWE world champion is known for his amazing professional wrestling career and acting skills. But besides that, he is also popular for his flawless promos and interviews among fans.

It’s the dream of almost every other WWE superstar to be in the same ring as John Cena. But when it comes to John Cena, it’s not Hulk Hogan or The Undertaker, it is the 58-year-old WWE Legend Stone Cold Steve Austin.

A few years back, John Cena gave an interview with Larry King. During the interview, a segment came where the host asked him to choose one wrestler from yesteryear, whom he would like to see back. And to this, the 16-time world champion unhesitantly named Stone cold Steve Austin.

He said, “Stone Cold Steve Austin, I’d like to have a match with him”

John Cena vs Stone Cold Steve Austin is a match that the WWE Universe didn’t know they needed. Imagine the TRP when the cenation leader and the texas rattlesnake are in the same ring facing each other.

But unfortunately, this never happened. By the time Cena emerged as a main roster of WWE, Stone Cold was already retired.

But this doesn’t mean that they have never been in the same ring at the same time. Fans got a glimpse of Cena vs Austin during WWE Tribute to Troops in 2003. At that time, Cena used to be in his “the rapper” gimmick, he was booked to face the Big Show at the event.

Although Cena secured the victory against him, but his moment of celebration was interrupted by the texas rattlesnake with a stone cold stunner.
