Recently, John Cena congratulated Shane McMahon’s son Declan McMahon on Twitter for taking the next step in professional football. John Cena, in his tweet, said, 

“Soooo many choices for end zone celebrations! VKM strut, Shane O’ shuffle… end zone dance aside, congrats on earning an incredible opportunity!!”

The 16-time world champion addressed how the eldest son of Shane McMahon had an option to follow his grandfather Vince McMahon‘s on-screen arrogant character and his father’s WWE career, but the 18-year-old will make his own name in football.

John Cena is proud to watch Declan getting this opportunity and wants him to make the best of it. Notably, Shane McMahon too posted on Twitter about being a proud father and watching his eldest son firm to make a career in a new field. 

Shane said, “So proud to be Declan’s father. Hard work pays off. Go Hoosiers!”

Moreover, Shane McMahon is thrilled for Declan as he is taking a step into a newer sport and making a name for McMahon outside WWE.

Recently, the eldest son of Shane McMahon Declan shared an announcement on Twitter. He announced his commitment to Football Indiana University’s team Indiana Hoosiers football. 

He tweeted, “I am extremely grateful and excited to announce my commitment to play Football at Indiana University. Go Hoosiers! #LEO.”

The newer generation of McMahon has fully committed himself to football. This is the first major step for Declan McMahon towards becoming a professional football player in America.

It was at WrestleMania 32 in 2016 when Declan entered the ring alongside with Shane McMahon with his two younger brothers. In six years, the 18-year-old has decided and staring paving a path for himself in football.
