Jonathan Coachman began his career in the WWE back in 1999 as a backstage interviewer. He was involved in multiple segments with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. This showcased Coachman’s excellent comedic timing, which got him a chance to be a commentator as well as an assistant to Eric Bischoff from 2003-2006.

It was during this time that Cena had his reign as the WWE Champion. While talking on the CVV CLIPS YouTube channel, Coachman recounted a hilarious story about Cena. This involved a foreign country and a large alcohol bill.

According to Coachman, “One of the most incredible feats I ever saw as well, again most people would never know this, we used to go to Europe twice a year.” He elaborated that the WWE would send their wrestlers for ten days to different countries for shows. This was when Cena was the champion, and the champion would make a lot of money during the main event.

Coachman said, “He’s going to make 30 to 50 grand a night as the main event.” Here, Coachman was talking about Cena and the money he would make as the Champion. Furthermore, he explained what Flair had to say about this. According to Coachman, Flair told Cena, “You gonna be the World Champion, you got to act like a World Champion. You gotta pay for all the drinks; you are making the most money.” This would serve as a pep talk for Cena, which would make her pay for all the drinks anyone bought. but there’s more to this story.

Cena ended up paying $75,000 for drinks

As Coachman continued the story, he claimed that Cena never drank at that point. However, after Flair’s words of encouragement, he began drinking every night and paid for everyone’s drinks.

During the last night, Coachman asked Cena how much he had left, to which Cena responded £35,000.

Coachman was surprised as he had never known or seen Cena drink as much as he did during the trip. He also never saw anyone pay for everything, as Cena did. Coachman claims that back then, the amount Cena was left with would cover that night’s bill, which was around $75,000.
