“Just Hacking Stuff”: CM Punk Teases the Fans

Former WWE Champion and the ‘Voice of the Voiceless’ CM Punk, in a response to a tweet, might have given away the identity of the ‘Mysterious Hacker’. He actually teased himself to be the one. Punk Tweeted:

The Smackdown Hacker has been one of the hottest topics of discussion since the ‘Empty-Arena Era started’. The hacker has ‘promised to deliver the truth’ and is wearing a black hoodie which CM Punk has been seen wearing in the past. The hacker has a tattoo on his hand and as fans would remember, CM Punk has a lot of tattoos too.

WWE on FOX tweeted the Hacker’s clip from WWE Backstage and wrote, “Do I have Everyone’s Attention now?” Punk made this line iconic during his infamous ‘Pipebomb’ promo. Fox tweeting can be seen as foreshadowing to the big reveal. It should be noted that a few days ago, Punk denied the rumor but with this tweet, it has made the speculation more interesting.

CM PUNK For the ratings?

From a business standpoint, Fox did a multi-billion dollar deal with WWE and Vince. WWE even brought pyros for the debut episode on Fox. They also invested hugely in Cain Valesquez and Tyson Fury.

However, the ratings have been bad. Smackdown has been down around $2 Million. Considering the investment, Fox might have been a part of the booking for the ‘Mystery Hacker’. CM Punk is under contract with Fox and not WWE, therefore, he might just turn up.

No one expected him to even come to Backstage yet he is there now. Fox might not reveal the hacker right now and have him stored in to draw more ratings later down the track. Whatever the case if CM Punk is the hacker then fans could expect a return to the WWE ring after nearly half a decade.

A lot of other names have been speculated as well, other than CM Punk. A fan after decoding the hacker’s voice proved it to be Shorty G’s. The lighting of the hacker matches that of Ali.

Ali would make sense too because of his baby face justice gimmick. Whatever the case the ‘Mystery Hacker’ will be a mystery for the near future.
