Keith Lee had been away from the ring, and no one knew why. However, Lee returned to WWE Raw, and the Universe stopped asking questions about where he was. Unfortunately, during the time he was missing, several individuals blamed his fiancee and WWE for the situation.
Now, Keith Lee made a video explaining what happened to him. First, he contracted COVID in January. And his fiancee refused to leave his side. She took care of him for three weeks before she contracted it, too.
“Were it not for her, I don’t know how things would have gone. To be quite honest. I contracted COVID, she did not. Actually, for like three weeks. And the only reason she did contract it was because she refused to not be there and take care of me and unfortunately, that ended up costing her an opportunity in the Royal Rumble… I’m grateful to her”.

Following this, he returned for a match but soon got a call about a disorder in his blood which could affect his heart and potentially his life. Hence, he had to go for several MRIs, stop doing physical activities that could make it worse, and even WWE flew him out to Pittsburgh to get him looked at.
According to The Limitless One, he fought death and came back.
“I had several MRIs on my heart. This became a fight against death. It took up until the company sent me to Pittsburgh to get me looked at and it was to the point where I was about to have to undergo genetic testing.”

It isn't that I couldn't say anything. I chose not to in order to focus on everything I needed to.
Covid and its after effects can be rather…. unpredictable. I was fortunate enough to be cared for. https://t.co/ZC19bhuB6d
