These days the WWE creative is behind ‘The Bearcat’ Keith Lee to make him a gigantic heel in the business who will dominate the whole roster of WWE. However, Keith Lee had a very rough start to this year, and the former NXT Champion thought that his in-ring career will be over because of the post-COVID complications.

Lee sat down with Ryan Sating of the ‘Out of Character’ podcast and revealed that he had an “inflammation” in his heart which kept him off the ring and made him think that his wrestling career is over.

When Lee was tested positive for COVID, he took some time off the TV and took his time so the virus would leave his body, and it did. However, when Lee came back to wrestling, it was not all the same for the Bearcat.

“I wasn’t feeling bad personally, originally. There were things that were going on that I didn’t really understand. The problem with this Covid thing is no one really knows what’s going on. It’s a trial and error situation.” Lee said on the podcast.

Speaking with Ryan, the Bearcat thoroughly discussed his situation after recovering from the deadly virus. When Lee made his comeback and wrestled a match with Matt Riddle, he was told by doctors that he has inflammation in his heart.

“In my case, I just assumed that would be fine. I’m ok. I tested positive, and in a couple weeks, we’ll get back to what we got to do. I came back after three weeks. Had that match with Riddle on February 8th.”

He also details his tedious schedule with doctors and check-ups and how it took a toll on his body.

“The next day, I got a call saying there was something odd in my blood which gave the idea there was an inflammation. That led to multiple MRIs and really uncomfortable machines that jammed up this shoulder. At the time, yes, I felt some things that were odd, but I didn’t understand them to be that.”
