Kenny Omega Calls Former WWE Champion a Dream Opponent

Kenny Omega is one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet today. ‘The Cleaner’ is also one of the few legitimate top stars in the world of pro wrestling outside of WWE.

The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion is now the Executive Vice President of All Elite Wrestling but still continues to be a full-time wrestler like fellow EVP’s Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks.

Kenny Omega names his dream opponent

The ‘Best Bout Machine’ has a whopping sixteen five star matches to his resume. From Kazuchika Okada to Kota Ibushi – Kenny has faced some of the best names in the business today. Yet, there is one wrestler in particular he hasn’t faced and is his dream opponent.

In a recent interview to Forbes, Kenny Omega revealed WWE Superstar Seth Rollins to be his dream opponent.

“I get compared a lot to Seth Rollins. Seth is a great wrestler and I think we could have some really great matches together.”

“I just want to work with good people—not good people in the sense that they’re only talented in the ring, but people who are genuinely good dudes who the fans would want to see me wrestle. At the end of the day, I’d just want to wrestle the opponents who would make fans the most excited because that’s really what it’s all about,” said Omega. H/t

With that definition of a good wrestler, I think we can officially call Rollins ‘Good Guy Seth.’ Seth Rollins versus Kenny Omega definitely looks like a big match on paper. Will it ever happen? The chances are slim with both men on rival promotions.

In the interview, Omega also speaks highly of AJ Styles and The New Day, mentioning them as great opponents he’d like to wrestle.

Kenny Omega squares off against Rollins’ former Shield brethren, Jon Moxley, for the AEW World Championship on Dynamite coming Wednesday.

The rivalry between the two top stars of AEW has just picked pace in the last two weeks after a mysterious attack on Moxley. The bout between the two on Wednesday will be an exciting contest, and we’re sure it would only mark the beginning of a long fighting rivalry between the two.
