One of the most iconic Hollywood duos is Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. Working together in a total of 5 movies, the duo has a love-hate relationship with each other. Just as Johnson has Teremana Tequila Blanco, Hart has his own premium tequila brand called the Gran Coramino Tequila.

As the brand is popular amongst tequila lovers, owner Kevin Hart has recently signed a lucrative deal with the Atlanta Hawks, putting him one step ahead of his Jumanji co-star.

Gran Coramino Tequila might take over Johnson’s Teremana Tequila

Taking to Instagram, Hart announced that his brand of tequila has signed a multi-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks. The partnership will be known as ‘Spirit of Tequila’ and was announced just before the 2023-24 regular season of the Hawk’s kicks off. According to Hart, “This partnership marries two of my biggest passions: sports and tequila.” He even further added that he wanted to connect with the Hawks for a longer time and hence decided on this deal.

Located at the bar inside the Delta Sky360 club at the Atlanta State Farm Arena, fans will get to savor various drinks based on the themes of Atlanta and Atlanta Hawks with a hint of Gran Coramino Tequila. The multi-year deal is important as it puts out the name of the company during the team’s matches, whether at the venue, on television broadcast, or on digital platforms. The brand might now be synonymous with the basketball team.

Recently there has been a surge in Hollywood stars entering into the liquor business. While Ryan Reynolds took a different path with his Aviation Gin, a lot of celebrities entered into the tequila business. The most notable one is Dwayne Johnson, who owns various business ventures with his ex-wife, Dany Garcia.

His brand was originally going to be called ‘Mana’. However, due to certain copyright issues, he came up with Teremana, honoring the ‘Spirit of Earth’ with this name. Since its inception, the company has sold almost 2 million nine-litre cases by April 2023. They sold 915,000 cases in 2022 alone.

Apart from that, Hollywood star George Clooney also owns a tequila brand called Casamigos Tequila. Founded in 2013, the brand had pretty steady growth until 2017, when it was sold for almost $1 billion to Diageo, a spirits company. This news grabbed the attention of everyone, especially Hollywood stars, and gave rise to the celebrity-backed tequila industry. Mark Wahlberg announced he would be entering this business, too. He became the primary investor in a tequila company by the name of Flecha Azul Tequila.

With Kevin Hart unlocking a new career achievement, only time will tell whether the brand will at some point collaborate with Dwayne Johnson’s Teremana Tequila.
