The McMahons are the heart and soul of WWE. With their on-screen skill and offscreen management talent, they took their family business to new heights over the past few decades. The McMahons have always been a part of WWE storylines now and then.

However, do you know that an important member of the McMahon family didn’t want to be on WWE TV? The person in question is none other than Linda McMahon. Although she did appear on WWE TV on many occasions, she never had the desire to work in front of the camera.

“I don’t think she ever had a desire to be on camera,” Jim Ross said about Linda McMahon

Jim Ross has worked with the McMahons for several years. Therefore, he is close to the McMahon family members. Speaking on the Grilling JR podcast, he stated he believes that Linda McMahon didn’t want to work in front of a camera.

Though she was a fundamental element of many storylines in WWE, she never wished to be a part of it. He said, “Linda didn’t have any desire to be on television. But she was a key component in the way the story was being told. She was the matriarch of the McMahon clan, so she had a role there. It was logical.”

“It made sense for her to be in this group picture, this family portrait, shall we say. But I don’t think she ever had a desire to be on camera,” he added. Though she didn’t want to do so, McMahon had to get involved in many storylines in WWE. And some of those storylines were very extreme.

The times when Linda McMahon faced humiliation on WWE TV

Despite having the creative reins in their own hands, the McMahons have put themselves into many humiliating situations for the sake of entertainment. Linda McMahon also received a similar fate in WWE. There were many a time when she was embarrassed in front of the audience by others or her own family.

For most of her WWE on-screen career, WWE portrayed her as a neutral character. Unlike her husband Vince McMahon, she didn’t enact a heel persona except for one time. Her character shocked fans on October 10, 2005. She turned villainous and fired Jim Ross while giving him a low blow.

On the July 21, 2003 edition of Raw, she became a victim of a tombstone courtesy of Kane, which infuriated her son Shane McMahon. several weeks after that, she was put into another uncomfortable situation where she had to kiss Eric Bischoff in a segment.
